The image of the seaside yurt at the top is indeed too good to be true. In fact, it was completely generated using Adobe’s new Photoshop Beta AI feature. Typically, a person would have to spend time building the environment around a subject, gathering assets and meticulously blending elements to create a natural feel. The Adobe Photoshop (Beta) AI tool allows for quicker ideation, iteration and exploration of new environments. At JRT, we put this new creative accelerant to the test by taking one of our sister companies, Pacific Yurts, and placing their product here, there and everywhere.

Here is how to generate a yurt empire in fewer steps.

Step 1: Pick an original object (yurt) like the ones below and select the subject.

Step 2: Provide AI with a desired environment prompt (i.e., “urban setting”, "futuristic city") and within seconds, AI will generate a whole new environment. Like these new images below.

This exploratory demonstrated that AI can be a valuable creative tool to answer the creative "what ifs".

There are many factors to consider when producing AI images – the size of the image, placement of the object, blending of spaces, matching colors and light, etc. – that require creative guidance. At the end of the day, AI is simply “following orders.” The human is responsible for the idea and quality inputs. In other words, AI can provide the foundation, but the person builds the house (in true craftsman fashion, too). AI may work fast, but the human ensures the work becomes art.
