When our clients say, “Help us make an impact,” we jump! And when three clients asked for unique, stand-out PR and strategic marketing and experiential support for the 2023 Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, we jumped thrice.

Besides their relationship with JRT, all three clients had a few similarities:

  1. They have clean transportation solutions that are unique to them

  2. They require simple, palatable messaging for a complex topic


ClearFlame Engine Technologies: New to the clean transportation space

ClearFlame, a clean energy startup, challenged us to create an experience that would increase product awareness. By taking a highly strategic view of the project, the JRT team was able to quickly create a new tagline, booth graphics, collateral materials, four videos, logo animations and an event email invitation campaign. All the campaign elements worked cohesively to drive an increase in brand awareness and deliver an amazing immersive event experience.

JRT created booth graphics, four videos, display banners, plasma TV screen wraps, reception desk graphics, email invites, tabletop signage and flyers to showcase the ClearFlame product offering and benefits. The large overhead sign above their display drew attention from all viewpoints.


Dana Corporation: 100+ years in the powertrain industry

With deep roots and strong brand recognition in the powertrain industry, Dana Corporation is challenged with pivoting from the traditional powertrain space to be recognized as the leader in electrified powertrain solutions.

JRT strategy, public relations, account and creatives worked together to turn a complex narrative into an understandable experience while showcasing the technology as fresh and futuristic. Once the strategic messaging was completed, JRT delivered all the elements needed to support Dana’s tradeshow schedule, 3D renderings, custom videos, digital interfaces, print collateral and social campaigns. Our PR department played a major role, with several press releases and speeches developed for Dana CEO Jim Kamsickas.

Westport Fuel Systems: In pursuit of global brand recognition

Westport Fuel Systems, a fuel systems solutions company in the alternative fuel space, has been in business for nearly 30 years. Following a recent acquisition, however, they have struggled with a confusing communication structure, limited brand recognition and unclear messaging.

JRT used the knowledge we gained when developing a new style guide, several brand materials and an in-progress website overhaul to simplify Westport’s complex story so the novice audience could proficiently understand the technology. We also developed a unique visual strategy making the Westport “W” the star to boost brand recall.

For the ACT show, we pulled through brand visuals and voice with complete booth graphics, 3D rendering, truck graphics (in partnership with our sister agency, CG Detroit®), four videos, media planning and press releases, website embellishments to showcase the products featured and invitations to the booth.
